Do's and Don'ts for Wedding Vendor Booking

Planning a wedding is no small feat. With all of the decisions that need to be made, it's easy to get overwhelmed. One question that we often get asked is, "What order should we book our wedding vendors in?" To help answer that question, we've put together a list of do's and don'ts for booking your wedding vendors.

Do: Prioritize Your Vendors

Not all vendors are created equal. Some are more important to the overall success of your wedding than others. When you're deciding which vendors to book first, start with the ones that are most important to you. For most couples, this will be their DJ or photographer. The DJ sets the tone for the entire reception, so it's important to make sure you're happy with your choice. And while you can skimp on some areas and still have a beautiful wedding, you can't skimp on photos. They're the one thing you'll have to remember your big day by, so it's worth splurging on a great photographer.

Don't: Forget the Details

Once you've booked your major vendors, it's easy to get caught up in the big-picture items and forget about the smaller details. But trust us, the details matter just as much as the big stuff! Make sure you don't forget to book vendors like your florist, cake baker, and officiant. These vendors may not be at the top of your list, but they all play an important role in making your wedding day perfect.

Do: Compare Prices

When you're booking vendors, it's important to compare prices to make sure you're getting the best deal possible. But price shouldn't be your only consideration—you also need to make sure you're happy with the quality of work you'll be getting. To find vendors who offer both great prices and great work, ask around for recommendations from friends or family who have been married recently. They'll be able to point you in the right direction.

Don't: Wait Until The Last Minute

It's never a good idea to wait until the last minute to book your vendors. The best ones always get booked early! If you wait too long, you run the risk of having to settle for second-best. So start booking as soon as possible to ensure you get the vendor team of your dreams.

Planning a wedding is a huge undertaking, but with careful planning and forethought, it can be a breeze! When booking your wedding vendors, start with the most important ones and work your way down from there. And don't forget the details—they matter just as much as the big stuff! Lastly, compare prices and book early to avoid being disappointed later on down the road.

If you waited until the last minute, do not worry, this DJ always has availability.
